Sales Consultant Position

Smithmo Credit Limited is a pan African company inspired to enable individuals and companies meet their financial needs with ease, simplicity, and affordability. The Position: A vacancy has occurred in the position of Sales Consultants. The successful candidates will be responsible for speaking with clients and potential customers to help them learn about our products and services. This will include meeting with clients, explaining how the products or services function and providing all valuable information. We are therefore looking for persons with the following qualities and qualifications: –

 

Education Requirements

 

  1. A seasoned Salesperson or Marketer with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Sales, Advertising. Commerce or Business from a recognized University is preferred. Any other degree with a penchant for Sales and Marketing will; be considered.
  2. At least 5 years continuous professional experience in a similar position.

Duties: Reporting to the Operations Manager with a dotted line reporting to the Company CEO, the successful candidate shall:

  1. Develop, implement, and execute strategic Sales and Marketing plans for Smithmo Credit Limited to attract potential customers and retain existing ones.
  2. Establish and maintain healthy, long-term relationship with clients to generate repeat business and referrals.
  • Work with the CEO and Operations Manager to determine targets and develop pricing strategies for products and services.
  1. Discover customers’ needs through market research and offer solutions to them through the company’s services or products
  2. Collaborate with media organizations and advertising agencies
  3. Brainstorm ideas for new campaigns and share with the management.
  • Coordinate with the sales team and other departments to produce effective strategies for profitability.
  • Monitor current campaigns, ensuring their staff meets deadlines and complete necessary tasks
  1. Analyze data to evaluate the success of their marketing efforts and come up with new ideas to improve brand marketing and exposure.
  2. Determine new ways to make products appealing by observing the environment and current trends.
  3. Use promotional methods such as phone calls, e-mails, and social media platforms to reach potential clients and build a long-lasting business relationship with them.

Remuneration

Smithmo Credit Limited gives competitive commission-based payment of 4% of the principal amount borrowed by the client.

Automobile Yard Manager

The Position: A vacancy has occurred in the position of Automobile Yard Manager. Essentially you will provide day-to-day management of the Yard where vehicles and other machines on which Smithmo Credit Limited has interest. We are therefore looking for persons with the following qualities and qualifications: –

Education Requirements

  1. A seasoned Manager with at least a Diploma in Management. However, a degree in any Management course from an institution of repute is preferable.
  2. At least 5 years continuous professional experience in a similar position.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  1. Knowledge in stores management
  2. Attention to logistical detail.
  3. Astute sincerity and unrivaled accountability.
  • Valid driving license of at least 2years.

Duties: Reporting to the Operations Manager with a dotted line reporting to the Company CEO, the successful candidate shall: –

  1. Receive and book all repossessed and other vehicles arriving at the yard (ensure the Yard S.O.P’s are adhered to).
  2. Ensure all vehicles stored at the yard are kept constantly clean and their contents not interfered with at all.
  • Generate Weekly and monthly yard operations reports.
  1. Attend Board meetings (upon request) to share yard reports including security.
  2. Ensure ALL contracted staff working at the yard are professional.
  3. Maintain the yard records, both physical and electronic of all the vehicles.

Credit Manager

Essentially you will provide day-to-day credit control services and synthesized financial information to the Operations Manager of Smithmo Credit Limited, which requires an understanding approval procedures. We are therefore looking for persons with the following qualities and qualifications: –

Education Requirements

  1. A seasoned Credit practitioner with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or its equivalent from a recognized institution. A relevant Diploma with professional experience in lieu of a degree will suffice.
  2. Basic book-keeping or accounting skills
  • At least 5 years continuous professional experience in a similar position.
  1. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  2. Attention to financial detail and knowledge of fraud detection.

 Duties: Reporting to the Operations Manager with a dotted line reporting to the Company CEO, the successful candidate shall: –

  1. Undertake to manage the process of approval of loans.
  2. Monitor repayment trends of issued loans and raise alarm for non-performing loans with the Operations Manager.
  • Attend Board meetings (upon request) to explain the credit health of the company (Loan Book Health Report).
  1. Liaise closely with the Accountant to manage the loan portfolios of clients by monitoring and analyzing loan uptakes and repayments.
  2. Ensure ALL government automobile regulations are adhered to, including NTSA requirements for charging and discharging motor vehicles.

Essentially you will provide financial information to the Management of Smithmo Credit Limited, which requires an understanding of both accounting theory and practice. We are therefore looking for persons with the following qualities and qualifications: –

Education Requirements
i. A seasoned accountant with at Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or its equivalent from a recognized institution. A relevant Diploma with professional experience shall be considered in lieu of a Degree.
ii. Certified Public Accountant license is required (CPA)
iii. At least 5 years continuous professional experience in a similar position.
iv. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
v. Attention to financial detail.
vi. Astute sincerity and unrivaled accountability.

Duties: Reporting to the Operations Manager with a dotted line reporting to the Company CEO, the successful candidate shall: –
i. Maintain books of accounts for the company.
ii. Manage expenditure by monitoring the budget.
iii. Attend Board meetings (upon request) to explain the financial health of the company.
iv. Ensure ALL government financial regulations are adhered to, including monitoring statutory deductions and their respective remittances.
vii. Maintain the cash box register, cheque register and to ensure all the financial records of the company are secure.
viii. Consider the need for new or changed controls and advise management.
ix. Ensure the adequacy of the accounting systems as the basis for reporting to management.
x. Interpret the meaning of accounting records, reports, and statements
xi. Project accounting data to show the effects of proposed plans on capital investments, income, cash position, and overall financial condition
xii. Utilize knowledge of the fundamental doctrines, theories, principles, and terminology of accountancy, which often entails some understanding of such related fields as business law, statistics, and general management
